network-alt patch

Einar,

This wouldn't build for me. I've created a patch for configure.ac. May I
suggest you try it on your system to check I haven't broken anything?

BTW I got this but assume it's because I don't have IPv6 support.

Running test: Plain TCP IPv6 server @ 10380
> FAILED: user error (no socket to listen on)

The patch worked fine on my test machines. Committed.

According to Single Unix Specification it should be defined whether there
is IPv6 support or not. In the real world this is sadly not the case...
